Since 2011, there have been meetings between the community councils and NHS Lothian about the redevelopment of the Royal Edinburgh Hospital and the relocation of services at Astley Ainslie Hospital (AAH) to the Royal Edinburgh site. More recently, the emphasis has swung towards the AAH. The five local community councils, Marchmont Sciennes, Morningside, Merchiston, Grange Prestonfield and Southside then met on 28 November 2016. After this NHS Lothian set up a “Forum” consisting of the first four of these community councils and the Grange Association. The group became known as the Astley Ainslie Community Engagement Group (AACEG). Here are the notes or minutes of these and related meetings:
